A Virtual Lab for a Hardware Security Curriculum

Funded by NSF

The goal of the virtual lab project is to establish a set of hardware security courseware and enable adoption of this courseware at other institutions through the development of a virtual laboratory environment. The curricular evolution proposed in this project builds on the momentum enabled by an NSF-funded effort to improve computer engineering education by introducing students to “hardware hacking” though courses on “Hardware Security” and a hands-on Trustable Computing laboratory class.

The principal outcomes of the project will be enhancing cybersecurity curricula to include hardware security topics and a virtual laboratory platform that will enable the adoption of these hardware security classes. The hardware security course modules and the virtual laboratory are available to other educational institutions.
